Kampusbet ~ Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp insists he knows NOTHING about how Manchester City will line up in Saturday clash
Agen MaxbeT ~ Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is totally in the dark about Manchester City ahead of this weekend's showdown at the Etihad.
Premier League leaders City’s preparations for the season-defining clash have been shrouded in secrecy – with Liverpool boss Klopp joking that their training ground is “deep in a forest”.
Crucially, the Reds' new manager has no idea whether to plan for a comeback by City's star striker Sergio Aguero, who scored five goals in a stunning 20-minute spell against Newcastle in his last outing before a hamstring injury that has kept him out for a month.
Klopp said: “The difference between Liverpool and City is that at
this moment we know nothing about City because their training ground
seems to be deep in a forest.
“I have never been there and we
know nothing! We don’t know about Aguero, we don’t know about Silva
[midfielder David, who also hasn't played since the win over Newcastle].
We don’t know about Bony [striker Wilfried, who went off injured in the first half of City's last game before the international break], and so on.
“Nothing.
"It makes it interesting. We are prepared to play against them with
all these players or without these players. We will be prepared.”
Klopp tried some mind games of his own when he revealed that England striker Daniel Sturridge is fit again, but refused to reveal whether he would be involved against his first pro club.
Bandar Judi Online MaxbeT ~ Sturridge, the Reds’ main goal threat, has endured a five-week lay off with a minor knee injury.
Like Aguero, Sturridge has declared himself “fit and ready”
to play, but Klopp said on Thursday: “He is as fit as he can be after
this long break.
Of course, he is not at 100 per cent and now we have to
see. I have to think about it.
“His quality is outstanding, but everyone needs training.
"Today was the third full exercise with the team after five weeks'
break. As a striker sometimes, five minutes are enough. We need to see.”
Sturridge
has been back in full training with the first team squad this week but,
given his injury record, his manager admitted it would be a gamble to
play him.
Klopp said: “The problem with Daniel’s quality is it is obvious. When
you see it in training you think, ‘Right. Nice.’ But we have to think
about it.
“He has to train, that is for sure, because he has had
four and a half weeks out — I am not sure Liverpool has that long a
break in the summer.
"So for four and a half weeks he couldn’t train. He wasn’t cycling or
running. But because he is such a skilled guy, after a few minutes you
think, ‘Maybe we should...’
"Everyone wants to see more of him on the pitch, but we have to find the right balance and we will see.”
Klopp’s
words will have left his opposite number Manuel Pellegrini with exactly
the same questions as those faced by Liverpool — though it would be no
surprise to see both star strikers on the subs' benches for a game that
could define the visitors’ top four ambitions this season.
