Kampusbet ~ " Swansea caretaker Alan Curtis prepared to stay in charge for the rest of the season "
Agen SbobeT ~ Caretaker boss Alan Curtis is prepared to remain in charge of Swansea until the end of the season with the club no nearer to appointing a new manager.
Despite
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins holding discussions with several
candidates – including Marcelo Bielsa and Gus Poyet – since Garry Monk
was sacked a fortnight ago, an appointment has not been forthcoming.
In
the meantime Curtis, who has served the club for over 40 years, has
overseen an improvement in performances despite Swansea’s slide into
the relegation zone.
The 61-year-old admits a move to bring in
former Athletic Bilbao boss Bielsa appears to have “cooled” and he is
set to be in charge for the Boxing Day fixture against West Brom and
Monday’s meeting with Crystal Palace.
Bandar Judi Online SbobeT ~ Should Curtis oversee two positive results he may find himself tasked
with continuing to lead the Welsh club, and is ready to do so until the
summer if necessary.
“I will carry on for as long as it takes, if it’s the weekend or a little bit further,” said Curtis.
“We
will do what it takes for the club to continue to show the improvement
on the field and, perhaps more importantly, pick up points.
“Part
of the equation would be if we were to win a couple of games and the
performances carry on being decent, then probably the need to appoint a
new manager is not so great.
“Things can move very quickly and it
may be that it is not long before someone is appointed, but there is no
point rushing it. It has to be the right man.”
