Kampusbet - Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin 'rejects big-money offer to join Manchester City'
Judi Online - Manchester City appear to have missed out on signing Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.
The
Uruguayan centre-half was a target for Manuel Pellegrini, as he looks
to strengthen his rearguard before the transfer window slams shut.
City
were reportedly willing to pay the €40million release clause in Godin's
contract at the Calderon, and offer the stopper a whopping €6.5million a
year, according to Spanish media outlet Marca.
However,
Godin is set to snub the offer, and instead pen a new deal with
Atletico, after the club agreed to hike his wages as a reward for his
loyalty.
Bandar Bola - The 29-year-old will still likely earn considerably less in the
Spanish capital than he would at City, but is keen to remain with Diego
Simeone and the Rojiblancos.
Godin has been the star turn in Atletico's
defence over the past few seasons, playing a starring role in their La
Liga triumph and Champions League final appearance in 2013/14.
He is set to sign the new contract in the coming days.
