KampusbeT ~ " Chelsea captain John Terry confirms he will MISS Champions League crunch clash with PSG "
Agen TangKasneT ~ Chelsea captain John Terry has confirmed that he will miss the Blues' Champions League last 16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
The
Blues skipper took to Instagram on Tuesday to confirm that he would
miss the Stamford Bridge clash with the French champions.
"I'm gutted to be missing the PSG game," stated the Chelsea defender.
"It's
so frustrating missing any game, but these big champions league nights
at the bridge are unbelievable and it hurts as a player not to be
involved.
"I have thrown everything at my injury trying to get
back fit but sometimes you have to let the injury settle, and thankfully
I'm on the mend and hope to be back soon."
Terry had trained alone earlier in the day.
The defender has
missed the club's last five games with a hamstring problem that he
picked up in the 5-1 win against Newcastle on February 13.
Guus Hiddink's men trail 2-1 on aggregate after the first leg at the Parc des Princes, and are also without French centre-half Kurt Zouma.
Bandar Judi Online TangKasneT ~ This
is the third consecutive year in which Chelsea have faced PSG in the
competition, with the Blues winning at the quarter-final stage in 2014
on away goals, while PSG triumphed via the same method in the last-16 a
year ago.
The first leg in Paris saw the French champions inflict
Chelsea's only defeat under interim boss Hiddink, although John Obi
Mikel netted what could be a crucial away goal.
Blues chief Hiddink had already resigned himself to having to do without Terry, after the ex-England skipper was unable to take part in a training game on Monday.
“I don’t think John will make it on Wednesday. For the time being, there has not been enough development to put him on the list.
“It’s
not worse – he trained and had treatment on Saturday morning, and he
can run, but he cannot go into a longer stretch where you have to
accelerate. There he has to be careful.
“When he is ready to do
so, maybe on Tuesday, he will play in a practice match, but I don’t
think he will make it. Hopefully, let’s see what can be done for next
weekend.”
