Trailing by two goals on the night, Klopp's side needed to score three in the second period to qualify for the last four.

"We were 2-0 down at half-time - and the coach said we had to create the moment to tell our grandchildren and make it a special night for the fans," the Belgian said. "And we believed in it.

"When we scored the first goal - we all felt it was going to be a special moment. At the end, you could see a defender scoring or a striker scoring - we were all fighting for the ball.

"I think we deserved the win."

Agen Bola TerperCaya EURO 2016  ~   Kevin De Bruyne has revealed he was so "knackered" he asked for the substitution that came just after scoring the cracker which clinched Manchester City’s place in the Champions League semi-finals.

Belgian forward De Bruyne, who was a reject at Chelsea early in his career but a shimmering star at City after his £55million summer move, admits being out on his feet after netting a curling 76th minute effort to defeat Paris Saint-Germain and secure a 3-2 aggregate victory.

After being replaced with six minutes to go in Tuesday's match at the Etihad, he said: “I play with a lot of intensity and from time to time I need to push the pause button. I gave everything for 80 minutes and then I felt my energy levels were dropping. 

 

"I was knackered. And then it’s better to ask to be replaced. 

"I’m not fully fit yet [De Bruyne returned less than a fortnight ago after a two-month knee-injury layoff], but I need to play games to find my best physical condition.”

But De Bruyne insists City are not merely happy to reach the semi-finals, claiming he is hell-bent on winning the Champions League.

"Our organisation was top, and in the end we have created more chances than them too. I think it was one of our better performances this season. A good team performance.

“This was one of my bigger nights, it’s up there with other great moments. 

"But what does a semi-final mean? If you lose the final, you can say you’ve been in a final. That’s beautiful, of course, but I want to advance. 

 It’s all about the titles and the trophies. I want to win those. They give you the best feeling. 

“We’ll do everything to go through. 

"I joined this club to win trophies. It’s has been a season with ups-and-downs, but in the Champions League we’ve been doing well.”

And Reds fans may think they are seeing double, because the fitness coach has occasionally been mistaken for manager Klopp in the past!

Kornmayer - who sports a similar beard-and-glasses look – is currently one of the medics at Bayern Munich, where he oversees the conditioning regime of the German champions.

Klopp has moved swiftly to fill a vacancy at the Merseyside club, after current fitness coach Ryland Morgans – who was appointed by his predecessor Brendan Rodgers – announced last month he was leaving.

And Klopp couldn’t have a better man, with the 41-year-old boasting over a decade of service at the Bavarian club, where he served under such managers as Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes and Pep Guardiola.

It could be a canny appointment for Liverpool, with their manager also hoping to sign World Cup winner Mario Gotze from Bayern.

Gotze suffered a serious groin injury back in October, and credits the fitness coach with getting him back into action swiftly.

Van Gaal’s men visit West Ham on Wednesday night for an FA Cup quarter-final replay in which the Reds will be trying to keep alive their hopes of winning a trophy this season.

And the Dutchman admits United can’t afford to repeat the mistakes they made against Tottenham when they face the Hammers and their in-form striker Andy Carroll.

Van Gaal blamed communication breakdowns for United’s 3-0 league loss at White Hart Lane on Sunday and said: “I hope that we improve our communication because it is very important this game for us.

“It is the last chance of a title. So it is very important for the club, the players, the manager, the fans.

Players of Manchester United have to cope with that pressure and they have done it always and they know that every game in a cup is a match you have to win — must win, because otherwise you are out of the cup.”

West Ham haven’t lost at home since August, and United are running into Carroll fresh from his hat-trick heroics against Arsenal on Saturday.

Van Gaal said: “I have seen the Andy Carroll show. He has special qualities and we have seen that in the match he played on Saturday.

He said: “We have one day less than West Ham United. That is also important.

“But we have proved against Arsenal and Manchester City that in spite of less days to recover that we could beat them so I hope we shall recover very good.

“Also mentally because this (losing at Spurs) is also a blow of course. But everybody knows that this is the last chance.”

United midfielder Michael Carrick, an ex-West Ham player, said: “We all know what that means.

The Dutchman suffered the first league defeat of his second spell as interim Blues boss as Gylfi Sigurdsson volleyed Swansea to the brink of Premier League safety.

At the end of a week in which Conte’s summer arrival was confirmed, Hiddink gave several fringe players their chance.

But few took it and Conte would have been left in no doubt as to the challenge he faces when his duties with Italy are over.

And Hiddink warned his players they need to show a champion’s mentality to be part of Chelsea’s bid to climb back to the summit of English football.

“It is a clean slate, everyone has to fight for his position with the new manager coming in of course,” said Hiddink.

“There is that, but when you play at Chelsea you must always be proud and play with internal motivation.

“The intrinsic motivation is a condition that has to be there if you are to say a player is suitable for a big club.

Motivation was no problem for the home side who, inspired by Sigurdsson and the electric Jefferson Montero, produced their best display for months.

The Iceland international hit back at critics who claimed some Swansea stars were more concerned about the Euros.

“Saying that was far from the truth. Winning games and staying in the Premier League, I am focused on Swansea,” he said.

Antonio Conte may be coming to Stamford Bridge this summer with allegations hanging over him that he knew about match-fixing in Italy, but he has the backing of fellow Italian Francesco Guidolin.

Swansea City head coach Guidolin – who was in charge of Udinese when Conte was at Juventus – insists the next Blues boss plays it straight.

“He is a man of character,” said Guidolin, about Conte, who will take up the reins from current interim boss Guus Hiddink, following Euro 2016.

“I don’t know much about the history of these allegations, but I do know that they do not sound like the Antonio Conte who I know.”

Conte strongly denies allegations that he failed to report match-fixing concerns when he was manager of Siena in 2011.

The case is going through the Italian courts, with prosecutors stating they will press for a suspended six-month jail sentence if the current Italy national team boss is found guilty.

Nonton Bioskop Film Semi  ~   Conte is renowned as a strict disciplinarian, with a volcanic temper, but Guidolin believes he has the right characteristics to maintain the repair job begun by Hiddink.

“He won the league championship title three times with Juventus and now he has this big chance with Chelsea,” he said. “He’s one of the best managers in Europe.”

And Italy legends Andrea Pirlo and Gianluigi Buffon also insist Conte will be a huge success at Stamford Bridge – but have told Chelsea players to prepare for some hard work.

Conte worked with Pirlo at Juventus as well as with the Italian national team.

Pirlo, who plays for New York City in the MLS, said: “I’m certain he will do well.

“He is a terrific worker. The Chelsea players should be prepared for very hard training sessions and for being asked to repeat individual actions many times – day after day. Conte is very professional.”

Buffon added: “Conte is a big coach and I’m convinced he will be an excellent one for Chelsea. 

Conte’s teams are always strong in defence and practise very hard. But the players can expect a lot of work every day.”

Agen Bola TerparCaya EURO 2016  ~   Jordan Henderson was photographed arriving at hospital on Friday before undergoing a scan on his knee injury. 

The Liverpool captain was on crutches as he arrived at Spire Hospital in Merseyside to find out the extent of the problem he sustained in the draw with Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night. 

Scans showed the midfielder suffered knee ligament damage at the Signal Iduna Park and will miss the remainder of the season.

However, there was some positive news as it emerged he will not need an operation on the injury and still has a slight chance of being fit for England duty at Euro 2016.

Henderson has sustained a partial tear and sprain to the Lateral Collateral Ligament at the front of the knee, an injury which typically sidelines a player for at least three months, which would rule him out of the European Championships.

But the damage is isolated to the LCL, which means if all goes well with his rest and then intensive rehabilitation, then he could be back in training within six weeks.

While that would effectively mean Henderson's Liverpool season is over, he could just return to training by the end of the season - giving him an outside chance of making the England squad for the summer tournament. 

Nonton Bioskop Film Semi  ~   Roy Hodgson has until May 31 to name his squad, which would give him the chance to give one of his key players a full fitness test. 

But he has suggested he will pick the players he takes to France by May 12, which leaves Henderson with the task of proving his recovery is on course, before he is actually able to play again.

With England due to play Turkey on May 22, and then Australia and Portugal in friendlies at the end of the month, there is still time for the midfielder to prove his fitness.

But it is only a remote chance, and Hodgson may be inclined to take few risks with his squad, given that he has already suggested he'll take skipper Wayne Rooney to France, even though the Manchester United striker will have played few games by then.

Liverpool's medical team will do their best to give Henderson a chance of making the opening England game in Marseille, on June 11 against Russia, and he will begin his rehabilitation almost immediately.

But the odds are still stacked against the midfielder, who must feel cursed this season, after also suffering from a long term foot injury that has destroyed much of his campaign.
