Chelsea players 'need to give themselves a slap round the face' after poor start to season, says Gary Neville

Kampusbet  -    Chelsea players 'need to give themselves a slap round the face' after poor start to season, says Gary Neville

Agen MaxbeT  -   Gary Neville feels Chelsea players must buck their ideas up swiftly if they are to arrest their recent slump.

The Blues are languishing in 15th after seven games in the Premier League and flattered to deceive on Saturday, when they drew 2-2 with Newcastle .

The reigning champions have won just two of their league games so far, leaving Neville in no doubt that an inquest is needed to get to the bottom of their troubles.

"When I spoke after [the game], I said they needed to give themselves a slap round the face, the players," Neville said on Sky Sports.

When you win the league, it's normal to have a dip at the start of the season, but [Jose] Mourinho somehow has to get his message over to the players... or they have to wake up themselves.

Bandar Judi Online MaxbeT  -  "It isn't good enough. It's nowhere near good enough.

"They had a massive opportunity on Sunday. [Manchester] had been beaten earlier on in the day. That should have given them a boost to fly out of the blocks.

"The performance in that first half was ridiculous. This is not just a blip anymore. It's dragging on."

Chelsea are in Portugal to face Mourinho's former club, in what promises to be an enthralling game.

Diego Costa is expected to return after missing the Newcastle game through suspension and played a prominent part in training on Monday.

There were serious faces aplenty in the camp as Chelsea went about their business under the watchful eye of Mourinho.

Brendan Rodgers still hungry for Liverpool success and is determined to overcome "frenzy" over future

Kampusbet  -    Brendan Rodgers still hungry for Liverpool success and is determined to overcome "frenzy" over future

Agen Klik4D  -    Brendan Rodgers insists he is still hungry for success at Liverpool and vowed to get past the "frenzy" surrounding his future.

Pressure was eased slightly following the 3-2 win over Aston Villa on Saturday, as Daniel Sturridge scored a brace on his return to action at Anfield.

After the match, Rodgers responded to what he believes is a campaign to get him sacked - and claimed the scrutiny of life at Liverpool is greater than at any other club, report the Liverpool Echo.

However, he reiterated his determination to remain in the job and transform his Anfield reign.

“There has been a frenzy, there is no doubt about that, to get me out of here,” Rodgers said.

Whether that’s a Liverpool hysteria or a big club hysteria, I am not so sure. The scrutiny here is obviously greater, for me, than at any club.

“It is a huge club and as a manager you know that and deal with it.

“I am fine. You know what comes from leadership and being a manager. I’ve never got too carried away when we’ve won, and not too disappointed when we’ve lost.

“I have a hunger to succeed here. I know last season and this there have been a lot of things going against us, but we’ve always managed to stick together and improve together.

The players and staff are very much together, fighting to be better and to live up to the expectations we create ourselves that is to be the best. With players returning we can have a great season.

With me there is no drama, I only worry about the team.”

Bandar Judi Online Klik4D  -   Daniel Sturridge’s second-half double inspired Liverpool to their first league win in five matches and lifted them back to within touching distance of the Champions League spots.

Rodgers believes the criticism he has been subjected to has been unfair considering how close he came to winning the title two seasons ago and the issues he’s been wrestling with since.

Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling have all left, while Sturridge has only recently returned to action after an injury plagued 12 months.

This season his squad has been depleted with captain Jordan Henderson, Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino and Dejan Lovren all currently sidelined.

“It’s not about proving people wrong,” Rodgers said.

“I think I have shown in the early stages of my management – without being arrogant – that with a talented group of players I can compete at the top end of the league.

“There are very short memories in football. The team was eighth when I got here and we built and produced a team to excite people throughout European football that should have won the league.

It didn’t but nobody even expected us to be near the top four. I know how to manage top players and build and manage an exciting group, but when you lose that or those players are not available and you have to piece it together, that takes time. Then all the good work gets forgotten. That’s how it works.

“My only gripe is that it seems the focus has not been on what’s gone on and what we’ve been missing, but more about getting me out of the club. That’s sad.

“I am the same man who nearly won us the game, but better. If you give me the tools I’ll do the work.”

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers 'could have coached Real Madrid' says Aston Villa's Tim Sherwood

Kampusbet  -    Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers 'could have coached Real Madrid' says Aston Villa's Tim Sherwood

Agen TangKasneT  -   Tim Sherwood is backing his Spanish neighbour Brendan Rodgers and claims the Liverpool boss could have coached Real Madrid ahead of Aston Villa's visit to Anfield.

Sherwood believes Rodgers, who owns a holiday home near the Villa manager, will turn things around eventually.

And he reckons the Ulsterman came within a whisker of becoming Europe’s hottest manager two seasons ago when Steven Gerrard almost captained Liverpool to the Premier League title.

They missed out by two points to Manchester City then struggled last season before starting this campaign poorly to heap the pressure on Rodgers.

Sherwood said: “He came so close to winning the Premier League.

“You can’t analyse that guy and say he isn’t a good manager.

“He’ll get through this. He’s good. He knows I’ve got every confidence in him.

“If they’d won the league that season, could they have kept hold of Brendan Rodgers? They’re a massive club and they would have tried everything.

Bandar Judi Online TangKasneT  -   “But we might have seen him at Real Madrid. He would have won the Premier League with a club that hadn’t won it for God knows how many years.

“He would have been the hottest property in football and he doesn’t become a bad manager all of a sudden.”

Sherwood is also under the media microscope after a poor start to the season at Villa Park and sympathises with Rodgers.

The former Tottenham boss added: “We’ve got places close to each other in Spain.

“We don’t have too much time to socialise because we’re there at different times, but we’ve bumped into each other a few times.

“Every manager has good moments and not so good moments. You come through the other side.

“It was not plain sailing for Brendan when he was at Watford or Reading, but he’s come through the other side.”

Norwich rebel Lewis Grabban to face West Brom as Alex Neil refuses to 'hold grudge'

Kampusbet  -     Norwich rebel Lewis Grabban to face West Brom as Alex Neil refuses to 'hold grudge'

Agen Sbo CasiN0  -    Norwich bad boy Lewis Grabban will finally make his Capital One Cup bow this season against West Brom.

Striker Grabban was fined and banned by the Canaries after walking out of the team hotel before their tie at Rotherham in the last round.

The drama came as Bournemouth were trying unsuccessfully to the buy the player only to see two bids rejected.

Norwich won 2-1 to set up Wednesday's Carrow Road clash against the Baggies, with Grabban now firmly back in the fold.

Canary central defender and captain Russell Martin said: "He's back in the squad again and everybody is fine with that.

Bandar Judi Online Sbo CasiN0 -   Lewis has worked really hard to get himself fit again and he has done everything that has been asked of him."

Grabban is set to replace Cameron Jerome up front.

Norwich manager Alex Neil said: "You can't hold grudges in football.

"Lewis was badly advised at the time, but he is fine now. He's back in the squad and working hard for the team."

Struggling Newcastle eye transfer of France striker who has not scored in 706 MINUTES of football

Kampusbet  -    Struggling Newcastle eye transfer of France striker who has not scored in 706 MINUTES of football

Agen SbobeT -    Newcastle chief scout Graham Carr checked on his long-term target Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette on Wednesday, writes Alan Oliver in the Sunday People.

The Toon's chief scout took in the French side’s 1-1 draw at Belgium's Gent in the Champions League.

But France star Lacazette has been firing blanks recently and after the Gent game had gone 706 minutes without a goal.

The 24-year-old was linked with Liverpool and Arsenal in the summer, and Sunday People Sport can reveal that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho also spoke to Lyon about him in the close-season.

Bandar Judi Online SbobeT -  But like a lot of France-based players Lacazette, wants to stay home until after the Euros in his country next summer.

However, after another defeat on Saturday — at home to promoted Watford — that leaves them joint-bottom of the Premier League, Newcastle will be stepping up their search for more firepower.

Another problem they face in landing Lacazette is that he has just signed a new four-year contract and Lyon value their prize asset at £35million.

Carr also weighed up the form of Lyon’s 21-year-old central defender Samuel Umtiti on Wednesday. But like Lacazette, he wants to be in France until next summer.

Bandar Judi Online Klik4D -  Jose Mourinho is still facing a dressing-room battle with two of his biggest characters unsure of their Chelsea futures.

El Hadji Diouf accuses Steven Gerrard of racism in outrageous response to book claims

Kampusbet  -    El Hadji Diouf accuses Steven Gerrard of racism in outrageous response to book claims

Agen MaxBet -   Football bad boy El-Hadji Diouf has made the outrageous claim that Steven Gerrard and Liverpool are racist in an astonishing rant.

The Senegalese striker was criticised in Gerrard's forthcoming autobiography, with the former Reds captain admitting he has "no respect" for his former team-mate.

“I don’t really want to waste time thinking about El Hadji Diouf but it’s worth highlighting his wasted seasons at Liverpool as an example of how it can all go wrong," Gerrard wrote.

Now, in a sensational interview on Senegalese radio station Radio Futurs Media reported by Le 10 Sport, Diouf has accused his former team-mate of prejudice against black people — a claim the former Reds skipper vehemently denies.

Diouf claimed: "Liverpool isn't a team that welcomes black people unless they are English.

"Gerrard has never liked black people. Every time I passed him, he never dared to look me in the eye.

Diouf then went on to accuse Gerrard of jealousy, claiming that his arrival at Anfield riled the midfielder.

"Gerrard is just jealous. What I achieved in football, he never managed," continued Diouf.

Bandar Judi Online MaxbeT -  Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has since rubbished Diouf's claims saying he "did not get that feeling" from the now LA Galaxy man.

Replying to a query on Twitter, Babel responded to Diouf's reported comments to radio station Radio Future Media.

He tweeted: "i did not got that feeling from Steve G so i think he got it wrong."

Diouf joined Liverpool following a starring role at the 2002 World Cup but his Reds career was dogged by negative headlines.

In 2002 he was infamously accused of spitting at West Ham fans before being charged with a similar offence when he was at Bolton, this time involving an 11-year-old Middlesbrough spectator two years later.

Gerrard is taking legal advice over the verbal attack but his lawyers, Himsworths Legal, said: “The allegations in those statements are completely false and seriously defamatory of our client.”

Liverpool refused to comment on Diouf’s allegations against the club.

Steven Gerrard reveals he was used by Liverpool to try and coax top players to Anfield

Kampusbet  -   Steven Gerrard reveals he was used by Liverpool to try and coax top players to Anfield

Agen TangKasNet -   Steven Gerrard has revealed he was used by Liverpool to try and entice some of the world's top players to Anfield.

The ex-Reds skipper has recalled the times he personally contacted Willian and Toni Kroos - prior to their respective moves to Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Gerrard points to Liverpol's inability to offer Champions League football in recent years as the biggest reason for their struggle to persuade top-level footballers to Merseyside.

In his new book, My Story, serialised in the Daily Mail, Gerrard describes how he used to contact players by text to set the ball in motion.

Bandar Judi Online TangKAsNet -  "It was the same ritual every summer," he wrote. "The club would let me know which long-shot target they had in mind and then ask me to contact him.

"I followed the usual routine when approaching a star player we wanted to sign. Instead of calling him directly I always sent a text.

It seemed more respectful and allowed the player to read my message at a time when it suited him best.

"I used the standard line: ‘If you need to chat or ask any questions I’m available at any time.’ It was the opening move in a familiar game."

David De Gea hailed as one of the world's best keepers after signing new Manchester United contract

Kampusbet -   David De Gea hailed as one of the world's best keepers after signing new Manchester United contract

Agen Klik4D -   Louis van Gaal has hailed David De Gea as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

The Spanish star performed a sensational U-turn to sign a new four-year deal at Manchester United after his dream move to Real Madrid collapsed on deadline day.

And boss Van Gaal has piled praise on the shotstopper after he put pen to paper.

He said: “I am absolutely delighted David has signed a new contract. He is one of the best goalkeepers in world football.

"I am very pleased that he will be part of the team for many years to come.

David made a very important contribution to our performance last season and he has been the club’s Player of the Year for the last two seasons.

"He is a popular player who is keen to learn and enhance his game. At such a young age for a goalkeeper, he has many years ahead of him.”

And the man himself admits is delighted to have put speculation surrounding his future to bed and committed himself to United.

Bandar Judi Online Klik4D -  “I am delighted to be starting this new chapter in my United career. I have always enjoyed playing with these great players in front of our fantastic fans," he said.

"Manchester United is a special club and Old Trafford is an ideal place for me to continue to develop my career.

"I’m looking forward to putting a difficult summer behind me and concentrating on working hard to improve and help my teammates to be successful.”

The new contract is expected to have plenty of get-outs for the 24-year-old, but Manchester United would at least be handsomely remunerated for the goalkeeper should he leave Old Trafford now, having feared he would leave for nothing on a Bosman next summer.

Real Madrid president Perez made clear in a radio interview on Wednesday night that he was happy with the three goalkeepers available to the Bernabeu club.

And in what seemed to be a pointed political statement he took time to claim that Jorge Mendes didn't have excessive control over Real Madrid.

“Jorge Mendes doesn’t influence Real Madrid," he said. “At Real Madrid Jorge Mendes has three players: Cristiano, Pepe and James Rodriguez.

"These are the three best players that he represents."

Gareth Bale will STAY at Real Madrid and wants to win the Ballon d'Or says agent

Kampusbet -   Gareth Bale will STAY at Real Madrid and wants to win the Ballon d'Or says agent

Agen TangKasNet -   Gareth Bale is determined to stay at Real Madrid and prove he is the best player in the world.

Bale has been linked with a move back to the Premier League, with Manchester United coveting the £85million superstar.

United remain determined to sign Bale, whom they failed to land two years ago when he joined Real from Tottenham in his world record-breaking move.

But the Old Trafford giants are wasting their time, according to Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett, who said the 26-year-old is happy in Madrid — and wants to win the Ballon d'Or with them.

"Everyone covets him," said Barnett. "But we haven't even talked about it.

"He's so happy with Real Madrid.

"It's not a bad life, you know, if he sees the cars he drives and the homes he lives in.

"Real is the best club in the world and they bought him. He wants to do well. He badly wants to see Real and himself achieve certain targets. I think one of those is to win the Ballon d'Or and I think he's got the best chance in the world playing at Real Madrid.

"He has nothing to prove at all. It's just himself. He wants to win everything and he's very hungry to win everything.

"He hasn't won the Spanish League yet and wants to win that and, obviously, the Ballon d'Or is something he wants to win. I think statistics prove that if you play for Real Madrid or Barcelona then you have a better chance of winning the Ballon d'Or.

"Well, if you look at it now, he's not playing wide right. He's playing more central. I think that's going to suit him more - more like the freedom and role he has for Wales.

"I think [new Real boss] Rafa Benitez is going to give him that. And as long as he scores the goals and the team does well, it's easier to accept. And he enjoys that role because he was getting a little frustrated [out wide]."

Bandar Judi Online TangKasNet -  Bale's desire to stay at Real is in spite of sections of their fans failing to take to him, something Barnett acknowledged he can only address by performing and helping the club be successful.

"That's a shame," said Barnett, speaking at Soccerex in Manchester. "They love Cristiano Ronaldo.

But if you watch the way Real Madrid play this season, I think you'll see a shift. I think things are, maybe, changing.

"If Gareth can get to where he wants to be, then they'll love him. If he goes and scores 40 to 50 goals, like Ronaldo does, then everyone will love him."

Barnett dismissed suggestions of tension between the two players, which surfaced last season as Real ended the campaign empty-handed.

Ronaldo threw up his arms in frustration when Bale chose to shoot rather than pass the ball to him in a game against Espanyol last season, sparking suggestions of issues between them.

Barnett said: "They don't go out drinking every night together but there's no tension there at all.

"They speak to each other. They're two different characters, but they're friends. They train together and they do everything together."

Bale's heroics have taken Wales to the brink of qualification for Euro 2016, their first major tournament since 1958.

"He could have qualified for England through his grandmother," said Barnett. "I nearly got my head bitten off and I never mentioned it again.

"I'll tell you, it has cost him millions and millions of pounds — you can imagine what it would be like if he was playing for England next summer.

"But playing on the international stage is so important if you want to win the Ballon d'Or. And to get to a major championship will be memorable."

Liverpool's clash with Man United is the perfect way to get over West Ham shambles reckons Danny Ings

Kampusbet -   Liverpool's clash with Man United is the perfect way to get over West Ham shambles reckons Danny Ings

Agen Sbo CasinO -   Danny Ings reckons Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United on Saturday is the perfect chance to bounce back from their West Ham howler.

The Reds were thrashed 3-0 at home by Slaven Bilic’s side last time out.

But Ings insists his men are desperate to get that result out of their system against their bitter rivals at Old Trafford.

He said: “I think any game after a loss like that all the lads will be chomping at the bit to play and put things right, and with the quality we’ve got at this club, I’m sure we can do that.

“A lot of the other teams at the top end lost last weekend as well but it’s a huge learning curve for us moving forward to make sure we don’t step our foot off the gas.

“At the start of a new season, teams come in fresh and hungry after pre-season and there are sometimes an upset in results. We were part of that unfortunately against West Ham, but we are moving forward and the confidence is still high in the camp.

Bandar Judi Online CasinO -  “A few of the lads are away during the internationals now but I’m sure when they come back they will be hungry.”

Ings - who made his Liverpool debut against the Hammers - knows a trip to United will not be easy.

He said: “We need to match them up physically, mentally and tactically which I’m sure we will do and I know we’ve got enough quality to win the game. I think everybody knows about the rivalry that is there.

“It’s two clubs with such history and it can be a fierce game, but as players these are games you look forward to the most and be a part of because it does go down in history.

“Everybody here will show pride and I’m sure we will go out there and put on real performance for the fans and the club.”

Liverpool fans blast "draconian" club after officials demand they register before waving flags at Anfield

Kampusbet -   Liverpool fans blast "draconian" club after officials demand they register before waving flags at Anfield

Agen Klik4d -   Liverpool Football Club want supporters waving flags at the stadium to sign a register and wear accreditation badges, angry fans say.

Anfield bosses are in discussion with Spion Kop, a group who coordinate the hoisting of banners and placards at fortnightly home matches.

But in a shock move, stadium chiefs are proposing new rules to monitor those bringing in flags which are famously paraded on the former terrace.

The idea has been branded as "draconian" and "inexplicable" by fans.

Last Saturday, when Liverpool lost to West Ham at Anfield, Spion Kop boycotted many of their flags in a mini-protest against the club's now stance.

No definite reason was given by stadium boss Vaughan Pollard for the change, other than to 'need to know where people are in the stadium.'

A Spion Spokesman said: "We had a meeting pre-season with the club, which went well, and ended in handshakes.
"We're more than willing to do what's reasonable. But 48 hours before the West Ham game we got an email saying the procedure was changing, with signing a register and accreditation.

"Would that be some kind of high-visibility jackets? The flags have been a labour of love for us, and historically, worked very well, with the stewards.

"We're suspicious of an ulterior motive, but want to resolve this.

Agen Judi Online Klik4D -   "Supporters are paying enough money in ticket prices to have to now jump through hoops, but this feels like a breakdown in communication.

"We understand the club has a job to do, but sensible solutions are needed, and we await more dialogue."

Liverpool are world renowned for the biting humour of their stadium banners, both at home and abroad.

One of the most famous was displayed in Istanbul, Turkey, during the Reds' 2005 Champions League win, which read: "Welcome to hell, my arse.

"If you think this is hell, try the Grafton (working class Liverpool nightclub) on a Friday night."

Another, unfurled at the European Cup Final between Liverpool and German side Borrussia Moenchengladbach, which said: "Joey ate the Frogs' legs, made the Swiss roll, now he's munching Gladbach."

A Liverpool FC spokesman told the ECHO: "No changes have currently been made to the bringing of flags into the stadium on matchdays.

"We are in discussion with the appropriate groups.

"The club remains committed to maintaining the unique atmosphere at Anfield which these flags and banner all contribute to."

"Bang average Liverpool have their worst team in YEARS," claims Harry Redknapp

Kampusbet  -   "Bang average Liverpool have their worst team in YEARS," claims Harry Redknapp

Agen Klik4D -    Harry Redknapp has claimed Liverpool are “bang average” and “the worst Reds team I have seen in years”.

The former Spurs boss also reckoned the Reds are lucky to have any points this season and will struggle to finish in the top five.

And in a scathing attack, Redknapp claimed Brendan Rogers lacked class for not admitting Christian Benteke's goals was offside against Bournemouth.

Liverpool suffered a humiliating 3-0 home defeat to West Ham at the weekend after winning their first two games and drawing at Arsenal.

But Redknapp reckons the club is still suffering from the departures of Jamie Carragher and Stevie Gerrard.

“I don’t fancy Liverpool at all,” he said at the Telegraph Total Football Live event, in association with Virgin Media.

“I think it’s the worst Liverpool team I have seen in years. They look bang average. They are lucky to have any points.

“Bournemouth should have beaten them, they got a wonder goal at Stoke. OK, they played all right first-half at Arsenal.

Bandar Bola Judi Online , Terpercaya -  "I think they will do well to finish in the top five. I am not with Liverpool at all this year. Having said that they will probably win the league!

“They lost Steven Gerrard, their leader. What a player. They lost Jamie Carragher the year before. They’ve lost their characters.

“Look at the two centre-halves on Saturday (Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel). The left-back (Joe Gomez) is a good young player who can’t kick with his left foot but he is playing at left-back.

"He’s a fantastic talent, strong, quick. But what will he give you on the left? He is on the wrong side.

They look a badly balanced team to me. Sorry, I can’t have Liverpool.

“I love Liverpool Football Club, and if you said to me which team would I have loved to manage in this country it would be Liverpool - but I can’t see it this year.”

Benteke's winning goal against Bournemouth was allowed to stand despite Philippe Coutinho being offside.

Redknapp added: “He (Rodgers) comes on TV and they said, ‘What about the offside goal?’ and he said, ‘I haven’t seen it yet’.

“Can’t he say, ‘Yeah, it was offside but they even out’. These managers, you know? I’m glad I’m not one!”
