Filipe Luis has no Chelsea regrets despite rapid return to Atletico Madrid after one year with Blues

Kampusbet -  Filipe Luis has no Chelsea regrets despite rapid return to Atletico Madrid after one year with Blues

Judi Online -   Filipe Luis insists he has no regrets about joining Chelsea despite quitting after just one year.

Luis sealed his £16million return to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, 12 months after making the opposite move from Spain to England.

The left-back jumped at the chance to go back to La Liga after failing to secure regular football at Stamford Bridge.

But having helped Chelsea win the league, a year after winning the Spanish title with Atletico, he said: “I do not regret leaving (Atletico).

Bandar Bola -  “I won the Premier League. Although I have had less minutes I have been important. I am proud of the season.

“At the end of season, when the chance to return came up, I told my agent that I did not want any other option.

“It was either return to Atleti or stay at Chelsea. I am very happy after one year.

“It was a great experience, but it has emerged for me the chance to go home. I want my kids to see me play at Atletico.”

Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers feels under no greater pressure to win after £80m summer spending spree

Kampusbet -  Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers feels under no greater pressure to win after £80m summer spending spree

Judi Online -  Brendan Rodgers insists he doesn’t feel under increased pressure to deliver following Liverpool’s £80million spending spree this summer.

The Reds' boss admits the torrid end to last season, which culminated in the 6-1 thrashing at Stoke, left him needing some time away.

However, Rodgers says he is now fully focused on putting his Anfield reign back on track, and has praised owners Fenway Sports Group for backing him in the transfer market.

Liverpool have made seven signings this summer with the £29million deal for Roberto Firmino followed by the £32.5million swoop for Christian Benteke.

“The pressure is no different to any other season,” Northern Irishman Rodgers said.

“When I came in, from day one, there was always pressure here to perform. This season is no different.

“There is no question that I was bitterly disappointed last season. There were a number of factors and reasons, but it doesn’t matter, we were disappointing so we have to be better.

Bandar Bola -  “The owners have been very supportive of me since the time they wanted me to be manager. I understand we need to be much better than what we were last season.

“I think it was hugely disappointing at the end of last season. For the first time I felt I needed the break.

"That week to two weeks after the end of the season was invaluable time, but if you want to improve you have to refocus very quickly.”

Rodgers believes areas of weakness from last season have been addressed with the new recruits.

“We needed to improve the squad, when you’re a top team any manager will tell you that you want to improve the club,” he said. “We have made signings and we hope they will come in and make a huge impact.

“For me the owners have been brilliant since the first day I walked in. I take nothing for granted.

“They have been great supporters of myself, they believe in my work and my job is just to work well with the team and finish as high as we can.”

Manchester United transfer target Pedro is ready to leave Barcelona, claims teammate

Kampusbet -  Manchester United transfer target Pedro is ready to leave Barcelona, claims teammate

Judi Online -   Manchester United target Pedro is ready to leave Barcelona this summer, according to team-mate Sergio Busquets.

United are chasing Barca attacker Pedro , but must activate his £22million release clause if they are to bring him to Old Trafford.

Busquets, speaking in San Francisco ahead of Barca's game with United on Saturday, said he had spoken to Pedro about his future and hinted his team-mate wants to play more regularly.

“Yes, I have spoken to him but I won't tell you what he said,” said Busquets. “It was a private conversation. I would want him to stay, I would love him to stay.

“He's a friend of mine and it will be his final decision. He wants to play more and get more minutes.

That's what he wants. “But we are in a team of great players and it's hard for him. Finally, it will be his decision, but I hope he stays.”

Pedro is unlikely to play regularly for Barca next season, with only injury or enforced rest likely to break up their formidable front three of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

With Euro 2016 at the end of next season, Pedro is desperate for regular football to ensure he remains in the picture from Spain, and United would be able to offer him just that.

United boss Louis van Gaal is an admirer of Pedro's versatility and plans to play 4-3-3 next season, a formation that would suit the 27-year-old, who can operate in a wide role as part of a front three.

Bandar Bola -  The Spaniard's arrival would likely herald the end of Angel Di Maria's time at Old Trafford, with the Argentine in talks with Paris Saint-Germain.

Busquets, who faced United in two Champions League finals in 2009 and 2011, with Barca winning both, admitted Louis van Gaal's side were in a period of transition.

Asked if United could still be considered a threat in the Champions League next season - if they make it through their qualifier to the group stage - Busquets said:
"They are a big club."

"Last year - and maybe still this year - they have been a team under construction.
"They have new players and a relatively new coach.

"They will need time but they are still competitive. We will see what happens in the future."

United could be drawn in the same group as Barcelona if they make it through their Champions League qualifier, a prospect Busquets admitted could make things tough for Luis Enrique's side.

"United is a big club, a huge club, with really good players, now they have made some additions to the team," said Busquets.

"They can win the Champions League with their new players, so I'm relatively worried [at facing them].

"I've always seen Old Trafford on the TV and I would love to play there one day."

MLS wages: Steven Gerrard earns more than Frank Lampard and THREE times as much as Andrea Pirlo

Judi Online -  Steven Gerrard earns more than Frank Lampard in MLS - the players' salaries have revealed.

The figures for all players in the USA's top flight have been released, with the Liverpool legend earning marginally more than his former England team-mate.

Gerrard's 2015 base salary tips the scales at $6,200,004, almost £4,000,000, while Lampard will earn $200,000 less.

Remarkably, the pair's salaries are THREE times more than World Cup winner Andrea Pirlo, who has joined New York City FC and will play alongside Lampard.

The former Juventus and AC Milan man's wage is $2,000,004, about £1.28million.

Bandar Bola -  Ex-Real Madrid man Kaka tops the rich list, with Orlando City paying $6,600,000 per year for his services.

Gerrard's LA Galaxy team-mate and former Tottenham striker Robbie Keane tips the scales at $4,5000,000, while ex-Barcelona hitman David Villa is being paid $5,610,000.

At the other end of the spectrum, Bradley Wright-Phillips, who spent the bulk of his career in English football with Southampton and Charlton, is earning $600,000 per year, despite an impressive goal-scoring record Stateside.

Memphis Depay: Louis van Gaal persuaded me to snub Bayern Munich for Manchester United

Judi Online -  Louis van Gaal was key in Memphis Depay choosing to join Manchester United, the Dutch winger has revealed.

The 21-year-old moved to Old Trafford on a four-year deal earlier in the transfer window, snubbing the advances of a host of top European outfits.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain were among the clubs interested in the winger, but it was Van Gaal who finally helped Depay make his mind up.

"There were discussions with nearly all the top clubs," Depay told Sport Bild. "Bayern were one of them but, in the end, Manchester United came out on top.

"I can't say who the best coach in the world is," Depay responded when asked whether he was enticed by the prospect of linking up with Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena.

"There are definitely a lot of good and well-known managers and Pep Guardiola is certainly one of them.

Bandar Bola -  "But I only spoke to Louis van Gaal and he totally convinced me. He gave me the feeling that I was very important for him not only as a player but also as a person - and then it was clear that I would go to Manchester United."

Depay, whose style of play has been likened to that of former United favourite Cristiano Ronaldo, was unveiled at Old Trafford on Friday - and he distanced himself from comparisons with the Real Madrid star.

“I want to let my feet speak. I don’t want to compare myself with somebody like that,” he said.

Depay could make his United debut when the Red Devils kick off their pre-season tour of the US against Club America at 4:00am BST on Saturday morning.

Southampton in advanced talks for Jordy Clasie as Man United close on Morgan Schneiderlin

Judi Online -  Southampton are in advanced talks to sign Feyenoord captain Jordy Clasie this week - paving the way for Morgan Schneiderlin to join Manchester United.

The 24-year-old midfielder was left out of his club’s pre-season friendly against Fortuna Dusseldorf on Sunday with the Saints busy trying to conclude a deal.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman confirmed last week that Clasie is the man he wants.

Koeman said: “Clasie is one of the players on our list to replace Morgan Schneiderlin. He's a good player.

"He's a young player, a Dutch international who is ready to make a step up and show his qualities at a higher level than we have in the Dutch league.

“He's growing in his leadership qualities, but if Morgan goes, we need a player in that position. He is one of them.”

Clasie scored twice and set up another five goals in 31 Dutch League appearances last season.

Bandar Bola -  He played for United boss Louis van Gaal at last year’s World Cup as the Netherlands defied expectations to finish third.

Confirming he had been left out of their pre-season friendly, Feyenoord said: “Jordy Clasie will not play against Fortuna Dusseldorf on Sunday.

“The reason is that concrete interest has been shown for the captain from another club.

”The club and player have therefore agreed that he will not play as long as talks on a possible transfer are ongoing."

Despite reaching agreement to sign Bayern Munich superstar Bastian Schweinsteiger, United still want £27million-rated Schneiderlin.

The players is understood to have his heart set on a move to Old Trafford and has made his feelings clear to Koeman.

United have already had a £20million rejected by Southampton and have stated publicly that the 25-year-old will not leave for less than their valuation.

Adam Johnson features in Sunderland's pre-season friendly win over Darlington

Judi Online -  Adam Johnson played for Sunderland on Thursday night as the Black Cats beat Darlington 4-2 in a pre-season friendly.

The 27-year-old completed the whole 90 minutes as goals from Danny Graham, Connor Wickham and a brace from Emanuele Giaccherini were enough to seal a comfortable victory for Dick Advocaat's side.

Johnson was arrested earlier in the year and later charged with child sex offences.

He appeared at Durham Crown Court last month where he denied three counts of sexual activity with a girl aged 15.

The England winger was remanded on bail to appear before Durham Crown Court again on August 3.

Bandar Bola -  Johnson's bail conditions include no unsupervised access to any person under the age of 16 apart from his five-month-old baby daughter Ayla Sofia by partner Stacey.

Born and raised in Easington, Co Durham, Johnson joined Middlesbrough's youth academy as a 12-year-old.

He made his Premier League debut for the club in 2005 and was sold in 2010 to Manchester City. Sunderland signed him for £10million in 2012.

The Black Cats decided not to suspend Johnson after he was charged and he played in the club's end-of-season victories over Southampton and Everton, which helped the club avoid the Premier League drop.

West Ham closing in on £8million deal for Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna

Judi Online -  West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is close to pulling off an £8million deal for Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna.

Italy centre half Ogbonna has been given permission to travel to London for a medical and to discuss personal terms on a four year deal with West Ham.

The Hammers have beaten off competition from Everton to get their man after Juventus accepted an offer and will allow him to leave Turin.

West Ham also hope to finalise the loan capture of playmaker Manuel Lanzini this week.

Bandar Bola -  Mirror Sport exclusively revealed last week that the Irons had moved for the 22-year-old Argentine on a season-long loan basis with an option for a permanent deal.

Lanzini joined UAE outfit Al Jazira Club last year for £9million.

He is understood to have an Italian passport which means he will not need a work permit to play for the Hammers.

Hopes are high at Upton Park that he will develop into an important player as boss Slaven Bilic seeks to impose a more free-flowing style of play at Upton Park.

Stoke City target Xherdan Shaqiri urged to leave Inter Milan by boss Roberto Mancini

Judi Online -  Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini will urge Stoke-target Xherdan Shaqiri to quit the San Siro.

Shaqiri is stalling on Stoke's £60,000-a-week offer to move to the Britannia in what would be a record £12million transfer for the Potters.

Mancini is willing to cash in on Shaqiri, just seven months after Inter signed him from Bayern Munich, because he wants the money to fund new signings.

Shaqiri begins pre-season training with Inter this week at their Angelo Moratti complex and Mancini will advise him to leave because his starting chances will be limited again next season.

Bandar Bola -  Mancini hopes his pep talk will help convince the Swiss star that he needs to go if he wants to play regular football.

However Shaqiri is not ready to quit Inter, believing he could still force his way into Mancini's plans.

Atletico Madrid are also watching developments, although they have not made a bid, and Shaqiri seems prepared to keep his options open.

Manchester City and PSG have FFP restrictions lifted by UEFA in huge boost to summer transfer plans

Judi Online -  Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have had their Financial Fair Play restrictions lifted by UEFA.

City were given a £49m cap on their summer spending last summer and ordered to play in last season's Champions League with a 21-man squad for breaking FFP rules.

The Sky Blues were also fined £49m, to be paid in £16.3m instalments over three years, but have had the final two instalments wiped off.

However, the agreement doesn't mean that City can spend as they please this summer - they will still have to hit the targets they agreed with UEFA for 2016.

A statement by the organisation's financial control body revealed that PSG, who were given the same punishment, have also had their restrictions lifted.

The statement said: "The UEFA CFCB has lifted a number of restrictions on transfer activity,
employee expenses and number of players in UEFA club competitions imposed on Manchester City FC after the club reached certain targets towards break-even compliance as part of the ongoing monitoring of their settlement agreement.

Bandar Bola -  "The lifting of restrictions is subject to ongoing additional controls and audits.

"The club remains under strict monitoring and has still to meet break-even targets and is therefore subject to some limitations in 2016."

The governing body also announced that the amount clubs are allowed to lose per year will be dropped from €45m to €30m from the 2015-16 campaign onwards.

The statement continued: "The reduction has always been part of the evolution process of FFP and goes hand-in-hand with the other revisions that have been made in the updated regulations to strengthen FFP for European club football's long term future."

The change could have huge ramifications for other Premier League clubs, however, with PSG known admirers of Manchester United's Angel Di Maria, for example.

Stoke transfer target Xherdan Shaqiri being offered £60k a week with £12m fee already agreed

Judi Online -  Stoke are battling to persuade Inter Milan star Xherdan Shaqiri to join them after agreeing a stunning £12million fee with his club.

Boss Mark Hughes outbid Everton for the 23-year-old Swiss international and the Potters are offering to make him their best-paid player, on £60,000-a-week, to persuade him to join.

But Shaqiri has so far rejected it even though he is surplus to requirements at the San Siro side, who recently splashed out over £20m on fellow midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia of Monaco.

If they are able to convince him, the locals had better watch their backs - as he is plainly something of a prankster.

The below video emerged this week of Shaqiri disguising himself as an old man before unleashing his ball-skills on the unsuspecting members of a Swiss club's youth team.

Stoke missed out on Shaqiri in January, when the midfielder opted to join Inter from German giants Bayern Munich.

However, the player's agent Arber Sakiri said at the time: "Xherdan has been hugely impressed by Stoke City.

Bandar Bola -  Stoke had a certain reputation before, but it's clear Mark Hughes has changed the club's outlook. Xherdan is aware Stoke do not play the type of football they did a few years ago.

“He’s aware Bojan [Krkic, the former Barcelona starlet Hughes signed last summer] is enjoying his football and has settled in well there and has been talking highly of the club.”

Hughes is a big fan of Shaqiri and tried on two previous occasions to take the winger to the Britannia Stadium during his time at Bayern.

Shaqiri only moved from the Germans in January and does not want to move again so soon into a four-and-a-half-year deal.

But Inter are prepared to listen to offers for him as coach Roberto Mancini sets about reshaping the side that finished eighth in Serie A last season.

Elsewhere, Stoke's Asmir Begovic has rejected a new deal, with a a year left on his current contract, in favour of a switch to Chelsea.

However, winger Victor Moses has turned down the chance to join the Potters - who he played for last season on loan - as part of a deal for the keeper after rival interest from Tottenham.
